I've never been a beach person - nor much of a water person for that matter - there are only lakes and rivers in the land-locked Prairies scoured out of the ground by the glacial action of the last ice age and the meltwaters of the Rocky Mountains .

Surprise! A Hockey Game |

TFS has a "surprise" for me. I had no idea what it was, though a rough guess that turned out to be completely wrong. We went to the Honda Center to see the Anaheim Ducks play the San Jose Sharks. Anaheim was having a pretty good season, very entertaining play on TV, and hockey legend Teemu Selanne (number 8) was worth seeing in person. San Jose started the season on a tear with multiple straight wins, but had been faltering lately.
