Since last winter went so swimmingly, let's try it again! TFS has very graciously opened her home in the west San Fernando Valley to me again. This time her daughter AS (and dog and cat) are there too. Two women + two dogs + two cats = not my usual solitary winter again. Huzzah! Place name links like Los Angeles, CA go to Wikipedia. 4 days, 3300 km (1980 mi) later, we're back in Los Angeles, CA . An overnight stop in Albuquerque, NM (not much to say about that), 2 trips to the Grand Canyon , a walk through Jerome, AZ in the heat, and a trip on part of the original Route 66 in Arizona, capped by a high-speed zoom on LA freeways (always trippy) and our Dallas, TX field trip is done. More on all that later. Tons of pictures, as many as 300 per day, it'll take me a while to collect all those into something communicable. |

Pooped today, and not very useful. Time to rest up a little before my final journey back home. I have a huge pile of pictures from Dallas and the trip back, but not likely to get them online before I get home, and even then not for some time after. I took over 4500 pics, and have just under half that to work through. You see I have lots of placeholder entries to fill - we saw a helluva lot in our time away. And I got a wicked farmer tan! |
