I use a lot of links, and only thumbnail images open in a separate window. Middle-click or right-click a link to open it in a new window or tab.

I've never been a beach person - nor much of a water person for that matter - there are only lakes and rivers in the land-locked Prairies scoured out of the ground by the glacial action of the last ice age and the meltwaters of the Rocky Mountains .

But, I think I could be...

A British car show, it was probably quite large but my Sunday-slacker slowness means lots of cars (and apparently Jay Leno who brought one car, then left and brought another) were gone by the time we got there. There were still some cars there I've never seen before, and I got enough pictures to fill up some space. See what we missed here, here, and here.

This was our third British show, second that we arrived late and missed a bunch. :( But there were surprises enough.

In another area of the park was a car show/event with no name that we could see, consisting of 60s to 80s American iron hopped-up with hydraulics, monster stereos and fancy paint jobs and interiors. Not sure what to call this kind of auto admiration, but "street cruisers" seems to be the best description. Some definitely-tasty bits of auto art and work/expense on par with what the Brits did with their rides one field over. Unlike what I expected this wasn't a Latino gig - the crowd were mostly Afro-American. Chevrolet Impalas seemed to be favourites, and lots of other "grandpa" cars that were more customized than restored.

A smattering of old-timers...

Trunk space on these cars is pretty limited - suspension hydraulics and audio systems live back there.
